Kick-off Symposium “NEXT – Quantum Biology”

Grantees of the Volkswagen Foundation's funding programme "NEXT – Quantum Bioloy" are invited to Hanover for a Kick-off event from 10 to 11 February, 2026.

With the funding programme “NEXT – Quantum Biology”, the Volkswagen Foundation supports interdisciplinary collaborative research teams with the aim of proving the existence of quantum effects in biological systems. The objective is to enhance the acceptance of this research field. The call ended with the approval of 6 projects for funding.

With this Kick-off event, the Foundation invites the grantees to Hanover to network, discuss their research projects, and jointly address the challenges of the research field.
