Coming soon: Our new funding platform

At the beginning of 2025, we will combine our entire funding management in a new platform: the new system maps the process from application to review and funding to project monitoring and will be easier to use and future-proof. This will not only benefit researchers who are applying for funding or grantees, but also reviewers and the foundation's employees. 

Important information for applicants and grantees  

• The current application and report system was closed at the end of November 2024.  
• The new funding platform will be available from January 2025: 
  • Registration is expected to be open from mid-January 2025. Grantees currently registered in the existing application portal will receive information on registering for the new platform in January.
  • Funding applications can be completed and submitted again from mid-January 2025.
• The grants database will be available again in early summer 2025.
• We are also converting our reporting portal, so please do not submit any unsolicited reports at this time. You will receive further information on submitting the next report at the beginning of the second quarter of 2025.
• Calls for funds can be sent as usual by e-mail to finanzen@volkswagenstiftung.de.
• As always, you can submit the statement of account by email to the following address: verwendungspruefung@volkswagenstiftung.de. 
• If you have any questions, please contact the person responsible for your funding project or the funding programme relevant to you in our funding department.
