"Opus Magnum" offers outstanding professors from the humanities and social sciences the opportunity to write a larger scientific work, relieved by a teaching substitution. Deadline: February 1, 2025

The funding line ‘Collaborative projects’ of this initiative is primarily targeted at the natural sciences and engineering. Deadline for application is March 1, 2024. 

The title of the new program for the promotion of research and education in Lower Saxony is "zukunft.niedersachsen". Thanks to additional funding of 580 million euros, three future fields are to be massively developed in order to make Lower Saxony visible as a research  location, also internationally.

"Systems of Assessment and Evaluation in Science" is the topic of the first call for proposals within the funding initiative "Researching Research: Collaborative Research Projects". Deadline for applications: February 15, 2023

With the program "Pioneering Research – Exploring the Unknown Unknown", the Foundation supports groundbreaking and risky research ideas with high scientific relevance.

The funding offer was aimed at scientists from all disciplines who develop research projects that result in transformation knowledge.
