The program is thematically open and addresses all fields of research:
• Environment, climate, agricultural issues, energy, mobility
• Health, demography, open society, alternative forms of economy
• Cultural self-conceptions, sustainability discourse in society and science, intercultural studies on the relation between nature and culture

The next call is envisaged for autumn 2017. Details of conditions and the application procedure can be found under Principles of Funding for "Science for Sustainable Development" (pdf, in German). Applications must be filed electronically via the electronic application system.
