Hanover has its own airport and can thus be reached comfortably by plane. Hamburg Airport is located 170 km north of Hanover and can be reached within approx. 120 minutes by high speed train (ICE). The train journey from Hanover central station to Berlin with its international airports takes approx. 120 minutes as well.
Hanover is an excellent transport hub and easily accessible by German and European train traffic. For train schedules please visit www.bahn.de.
Public transport to the conference venue Herrenhausen Palace
The conference venue, Herrenhausen Palace (Schloss Herrenhausen), can easily be accessed by the subway which runs very frequently. Please, see below for Details.
From the main station to the hotel:
Subway lines 1, 2, or 8 from HAUPTBAHNHOF via KRÖPCKE to AEGIDIENTORPLATZ (two minutes ride). The most convenient exit for the hotel is ‘Friedrichswall’. Please walk on Friedrichswall (approx. 200 m), turn left onto Willy-Brandt-Allee, and continue to the hotel (approx. 100 m).
From the hotel to the conference venue Herrenhausen Palace:
Subway lines 4 or 5 from AEGIDIENTORPLATZ northbound, direction Garbsen or Stöcken, to HERRENHÄUSER GÄRTEN (eight minutes ride). Herrenhausen Palace is located on the left side in the direction of travel (approx. 200 m).
