The Foundation Staff
After studying Socio-Economics at the University of Kiel she was a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for System Technology and Innovation Research in Karlsruhe as well as at the Universities of Essen and Muenster. In Muenster she also earned her doctorate in economics. She represents the Volkswagen Foundation in the framework of the ‘Netzwerk Wissenschaftsmanagement e.V.’ which has been supported by the Foundation as an institutional member since 2013. She has joined the Board of Trustees of the Center for Science & Research Management e.V. (ZWM) in Speyer in 11/2020.
Program Director in the team "Societal Transformations". Used to be responsible for "Knowledge for Tomorrow – Cooperative Research Projects in Sub-Saharan Africa" and "Global Issues – Integration of different Perspectives on Social Inequality" as well as projects in the Social Sciences, especial political science. Since 2017 co-responsible for the cross-sectional area "science communication".
Background: BA in Modern Languages and Intercultural Communication at the University of Southern Denmark in Sønderborg (DK) and University of Salford (UK), MA in European Studies, Leibniz Universität Hannover with research stays in London and Brussels. PhD in Political Science at the graduate college "Global Challenges", University of Tübingen, afterwards research assistant at the office for Technology Transfer, Leibniz Universität Hannover.
